Tips for Using Taxi in Gyeongju

Taxis can be found at the taxi stand in front of HICO’s main entrance. Most taxis in the Gyeongju area accept credit cards or transportation cards. However, some may request cash only, and it’s always useful to carry some cash (in KRW). The basic fare begins at KRW 3,800. Please note, rates may vary depending on the district or time of day.

Notice: Fares in Gyeongju may be slightly higher than in other major cities like Seoul or Busan because a surcharge is added when travelling to certain districts. All taxis use a metered system, and there are no separate ‘mobeum’ or deluxe taxis.
